Al-Anon and Alateen is a worldwide organization that offers a self help recovery program for families and friends of alcoholics whether or not the alcoholic seeks help or even recognizes the extent of a drinking problem. The site includes 20 questions to help decide whether one needs Al-Anon or Alateen, the Twelve Steps and Traditions of Al-Anon and Alateen, a calendar of upcoming events, a directory of Al-Anon groups within and outside of the United States, a directory of online Al-Anon groups, and a catalog of Al-Anon and Alateen literature.

NHIC is an information referral service that puts health professionals and consumers in touch with those organizations that are best able to provide answers. NHIC was established in 1979 by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, Office of Public Health and Science, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Health Information Resources Database includes 1100 organizations and government offices that provide health information upon request.
